2. System requirements

Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.4.1 or higher is recommended.

JMQBrowser has been tested with IBM MQ Series 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3 Java client libraries.

There is a free download for IBM MQ Series client 5.3 available at the IBM site.

You need at least the following jars from the IBM MQ Series client libraries.

When using MQ 5.3:
- com.ibm.mq.jar
- connector.jar
When using MQ 5.1 or 5.2:
- com.ibm.mq.jar

An MQ Series Queue Manager needs to be accessible via TCP from JMQBrowser.
To have client connections, you need to configure a Server-connection channel and to run the MQ listenerr (runmqlsr).
